Do you ever ask a customer how he uses his vehicle? This information is important. How the customer uses or loads his vehicle tells you whether the vehicle's standard suspension system is adequate. Recognize the 5 situations in which you can recommend adjusting the suspension system. That way, you will have satisfied customers and increase your turnover. Win-win!
and generate more sales
Few people realize that the suspension system can be adjusted and may even be necessary. The problem is not immediately visible and the solution is virtually unknown. You can show your customers the way. Have a conversation with your customer and come to an advice that will lead to your customer driving a well-controlled, comfortable and safe vehicle.
5 situations in which a modified suspension system is the solution:
1 In case of purchase or presence of a tow bar
Did you know that a trailer easily gives about 75 kilograms of ball thrust on the tow bar? You notice it immediately in the suspension, which causes the car to sag much further at the rear than normal. The result: roadholding, driveability and comfort are greatly reduced. Auxiliary suspension or reinforced main springs offer a solution.
2 When purchasing a load carrier
Does a customer ask for a cargo solution, such as a bike carrier, roof/towbar box or roof racks? If so, there will regularly be additional payloads that put extra strain on the suspension system. Depending on the loading situation, auxiliary suspension or reinforced main springs can offer a solution.
3 For more comfort or adjustable ride height
Does a customer require more driving comfort or does the rear of a camper/motorhome hit the road surface when entering a ferry? Then (auxiliary) air suspension offers the solution. It ensures that uneven surfaces are compensated and there is less driving noise. Also, the ride height is (automatically) adjustable.
4 For alternating or heavily loaded vehicles
What is the vehicle used for? Is it a passenger car or light commercial vehicle that is always heavily loaded, such as an LPG installation or professional equipment? Or is there a variable load, such as with a passenger car with a bicycle carrier? Then auxiliary springs or (auxiliary) air suspension are not a luxury.
5 In case of a broken spring
In case of a broken spring, always inquire about the use of the vehicle and for passenger cars about the family composition. If the vehicle is regularly heavily loaded, reinforced main springs are often the better alternative.
Vehicle manufacturers provide an excellent basis, but sometimes that is not enough. Then we offer the solution for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and special vehicles.
